What is the JMA Campground?

Jim and Paulette Moss - JMA Campground Hosts

Established in 1983, Jim and Paulette Moss built Jim Moss Arena to host team roping and barrel racing events of all sizes. We put in an additional 18 RV hookups for our guests that came for the 2017 Great American Eclipse - now they're available for campers passing through or staying long-term. We are not a traditional campground - we do not have trees or green grass. But, we have lots of space and it's quiet.

You'll enjoy lots of privacy and great views of the surrounding mountains.

Located just west of Riverton, Wyoming, Jim Moss Arena Campground features 30 and 50-amp power hookups. There is water at each RV site. There are 50 acres of primitive tent sites for those seeking something a little different. Amenities at the JMA Campground include WiFi, fire pits, firewood (for a small fee), shower and restroom facilities, picnic areas, trash services, and a dump station available for $10. Visitors can take advantage of the various outdoor activities such as basketball, hiking, biking, and stargazing. Whether it's for a short or long-term stay, we hope to see you soon!

What People Are Saying

This place is outstanding. It feels like home. Paulette has stocked the place with every welcoming touch you can imagine and is a wonderful host. It was clean, well-appointed and charming. It was much better than the pictures show. Stay here, you won't be sorry.

Very cozy! Beautiful vistas. Paulette is very communicative and will make sure you know how to get there and have what you need when you arrive. Enjoyed our very quick visit and would love to come back!

We had an absolute blast staying at the bunkhouse! Paulette was THE MOST accommodating host I’ve ever come across. She thought of everything! We brought all the food and fixings to make thanksgiving dinner and the bunkhouse was fully equipped to cook all the things! We will 100% be back to the bunkhouse ❤️

Five stars for EVERY element of this stay!

We truly could not have been happier with the choice of Paulette's place.

It was the perfect balance of luxury (the rig) and Overlanding (the paths on the property) - and exemplifies the best of Airbnb.

Paulette was a perfect host: communicating early and often, meeting us upon arrival, and ensuring we understood the lodging's particulars. The linens were soft, and the mattress was MWAH! Water pressure and temperature were spot-on, and the faux fireplace was a welcome second to the fire pit we couldn't enjoy due to wind and rain.

The only problem is that you might ultimately have difficulty booking. We'll be back - and are certain that Paulette's fandom will continue to grow :)
